|
|
Here are some picts of my completed 181st Tie Pilot costume. I am considering the Widow's Tears, but I don't want the helmet too busy. Anyway, here are the picts....
Naturally, I will be subitting for 501st approval, but we will see. Got some fine detailing to do.
Thanks for looking! _________________

That is very nice. Right about the tears, might be too distracting. Clean & sharp as is. Did you cut in holes in the mouth area? Always thought that was a good area for air circulation, just never had the dremel nerve to do it. Cool. _________________

Looks great still, but you have to get your post count over 50. Become more active on the boards _________________

That's really impressive work!
I am also doing a 181st TIE Pilot in addition to my ANH TIE (already a TI in the 501st Legion).
I am still waiting the new Costume Reference Library standards to complete it, but I can tell you that the helmet won't make it for a 501st (Omega Wing will do I guess): there are no special markings allowed like the crest you painted red...even if it is beautiful from my opinion!
You lack a harness, the third hose and arms protections as seen with Baron Fel, but these are details, your 181st TIE is pretty cool man! _________________ TI(ANH & 181st)/ID/IG/IC/TR/TD/TK(TFU) 5181, Legacy Imperial Knight, TPM Senate Guard, Imperial Highlander(KTB) - 501st Legion, French Garrison

Yeah, my costume was done before the official 181st standards were created. I decided to go just 181st, not necessarily 100% Baron Fel. Since the costume standards are now being set up as we speak, I will be making the appropriate adjustments.
Are guards I will add. The third hose if debatable becuase it is not in all the references and a decision hasn't been made as to where it goes. If done, I will attach it to the back of the vest like Bossk, and not let it hang down like an elephant trunk. _________________

I love the look of this costume. I think I could also mod mine as I have a second jumpsuit. _________________ Ian C. Palmer

Ever since I read "The Making of Baron Fel" I've wanted to do a 181st Tie Pilot Suit. It's just something about those red stripes that screams "Don't fly against me or you will die!"
